Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow!

Heya! I've been really excited that the weather has finally cooled down, and actually got a little snow today! Yay! So, I got a nail kit for my birthday on Monday from my BFF, and was even MORE excited to see that I had glitter nail polish! So, I did a design that went perfect with the weather. I created a faded look, so I used a silver glitter to do so. And i just used a white and a nail art brush to make the snow flakes. The top coat I used was the one that came in the nail kit. Pretty In Pink

Ahoy! These are my cousins' nails. I did them Thanksgiving night. I used Wet-N-Wild's Blazed for the thumb, index finger, ring finger, and pinky. And the middle finger is coated with Avon's Rave and the leopard was made with NYC's Black Lace Creme. The top coat I used was L.A. Colors Base/Top Coat. See you guys later! (:  

Gobble, Gobble!

Hey y'all! Because of the lovely festivities this week, I decided to do a nail design for Turkey Day. I was inspired to do this design from julieg on YouTube. She's really creative with her nail designs. So, to get started- the thumb and pinky are the same. They are coated with Avon's Mirror Shine: Peach Ice and Wet-N-Wild's Sunny Side Up. Then I used my NYC's Black Lace Creme to make the stripes on the pinky, and "Happy Turkey Day" on the thumb. The other three fingers base coat is Wet-N-Wild's Private Viewing. The turkey was created with an off brand brown color, Avon's Cherry Jubilee, Wet-N-Wild's Sunny Side Up, and Wet-N-Wild's Sunny Side Up/NYC's White to make a yellow-ish colore for the feathers. Then I used my NYC's Black Lace Creme to outline the turkey, and to create the pilgrim hat. The buckle on the hat was made with NYC's White and Avon's Rave. The top coat is none other than L.A. Colors Base/Top Coat. I hope you guys enjoy your Turkey Day! See ya! <3

The Ugly Sweater

Hey guys! Here's my new design. I've been wanting to do a vintage-y type design for a while, but never really knew how I wanted to do it, but, yea. So, I have on gel nails. The base colors are Avon's Olive Green and Wet-N-Wild's Private Viewing. The stripes where made with Wet-N-Wild's Sunny Side Up and some brown color that doesn't have a brand name. And I used the Olive Green to make the three dots. My right hand is the same, just the stripes are in a different order. Hope you guys enjoyed your extra hour of sleep last night! (:

Hey, Sexy Lady

Notice that nice camera quality? Oh yea, I fixed my camera! Yay! Idk what was going on the other day. I think my camera was just having an off day...? But In-Tee-Way! I got this nail idea from the lady who does the The Daily Nail blog.But, the base color is Wet-N-Wild's Private Viewing and some off-brand red color called Fabulous Red (I got the polish at Burlington's Coat Factory a few years ago). The leopard spots were made with NYC's Black Lace Creme and an off-brand chocolate brown. And for the top coat, I used none other than L.A. Colors Base/Top Coat.

Plain And Simple

Okay, let me start off by saying I'm extremely sorry for the blurriness. I've messed around with my camera a little, and I can't figure out why it won't take a crisp picture. But, the good thing is I don't have any fancy design going on, so, it'll do. But, here I still am in the acrylic phase right now. I painted over the white tip with NYC's French White Tip and used my nail art brush for the purple. The purple is Avon's Vivid Violet. The top coat is none other than L.A. Colors. Once again, I apologize for the blurriness. ):

The Time Has Come

I know I just posted like, a few hours ago. But I just got the urge to make this post. So, I went and took pictures of my nail "station". Why the quotation marks, you ask. Well, because I do my nails in my basement, it's not technically a station. But that's what I'm calling it. So, without further ado, here are some pictures of my nail station. Enjoy! (:

These are my Fall colors. These are the only colors I will be using during this season. I had Summer colors. Then I switched them out for my Fall colors. And when Winter comes, I'll have new polishes, and the same for Spring.

To be honest, I actually just organized these today. I did have them spread out all over the place, and it was driving me crazy. And these bags where just laying there, being unused, so I used them. The purple bag holds all of my cotton balls, and my polish removers (regular formula, and pure acetone). And the yellow/white bag holds my acrylic kits, and gel kit.

And these containers hold the rest of my nail polishes. And I know you're wondering how many polishes I own, and that will be in another post. But, the first container holds all of the Avon polishes that aren't in my Fall collection. The second container holds all of the other brands that aren't in my Fall collection, and that I don't have enough of to put in their own container. The polishes are things like Sinful Colors, L.A. Colors, Wet-N-Wild, Pure Ice, etc. And that one long tube that has a clear tube on the end should be in the Avon container (grrrr).

PURRRRRRR...

Salutations! Because it's a Saturday, and I did half of my homework earlier, I decided to take a break, and I did my nails. I wanted to step out of the box a little bit, and take a very common nail design, and give it a twist. So, I did leopard print tips. Not that original, but different. I used WetNWild's Private Viewing as the base. And for the spots, I used Avon's Rave. Just in case you're not sure of the Rave color, it's a sparkle type glitter polish. It's mainly a hot pink-ish color, but has silver glitter as an undertone. And then for the black, I used NYC's Black Lace Creme. And the top coat that's just oh-so shiny, L.A. Colors. Bonjour! Ca va?

Salut! Today, my family and I went to Sears, and I was searching all over for a new acrylic kit, and finally found one. Yippy! So, all that was done was I applied the white tips, then the acrylic. Afterwards, I just added a random design, using NYC Black Lace Creme and used my nail art brush to do so. And for the top coat, I used the one and only L.A. Colors. Until next time, chickadees! (:

So Dashing

Long Time, no talk! To state the obvious, I've been really busy with school. I just don't have much free time anymore, and if I do, I'm either doing homework, or relaxing/sleeping. I've done a few designs before this one, but because my number one priority right now is school, being a blogger slips my mind quite often. But, because I have a Monday and Tuesday off from school this week, I have some extra days to blog. (: So, here you see a very basic, simple design. I've had this on for about a week, and some days, s now it's chipping, and ugly (lol). But, for the bases, I used Avon's Coral Bikini, aslo, for the dots. And Wet N Wild's Private Viewing. And for the other colored dots, I used Wet N Wild's Sunny Side Up. Top Coat: L.A. Colors.

P.S. I should be doing my nails tomorrow. I'm not sure when, and if I do, Idk when I'll post.

Rest of the week look

As you seen in my last post, I purchased Osmar's Gel Nail Kit. This is the outcome. Although I added a top coat, after the gel dries, it's just as shiny as the top coat. They. Are. Amazing. For Tuesday's look, I just wanted something on my nails for school today, so I just did something simple. I used Wet-N-Wild's Sunny Side Up and Blazed and Claire's Black. And for the look I did today, I used Sinful Color's Orange Alert to make the tips/stripes. Claire's Black for smile line/stripes, and a grey color I mixed together. The top coat is the one and only, L.A. Colors Base/Top Coat.

Gel Nails

Hola. For the past... six or seven months, I have gone without any nail, except for my own. And on Monday, I went to CVS and got Osmar's Quik Nails Brush On Gel Kit. I think the first time I heard about gel nails was about a year or two ago. The only reason I've never gotten them was because I had never seen them in stores. So, when I was in CVS, they had a sale on majority of their nail supply. And this kit was on sale for $9.49. I HAD to get it. When I got home and finished homework, I immediately went to do my nails. I was so happy for the outcome (you'll see in my next two posts) because it tooks no more than ten minutes to apply the gel and for them to dry. So as of now, gel nails are my favorite item. It's so easy to apply, and it drys so quickly. Another plus is that they are better for your nails than acrylic. I recommend gel nails to anyone, even if you go to the shop to get them done. (:

Ahoy Mateys!

Hey! I've been wanting to do this look for quite some time, but I have no good reason for why it took so long to do it. The colors I used were Avon's Vintage Blue for the base. Sinful Color's Orange Alert was used to create those highliter lines. For the anchors, I used Claire's Black. Now, the anchors were pretty easy to make, but a little difficult to do on my right hand. Just make two J's, one correctly, the other backwards, and put a small line at the top. And the top coat was by L.A. Colors.

Grandma's Rug

Salut! I know I haven't posted in while. Please forgive me? But, to get back to what really matters: NAILS! This look was inspired by a girl's nails in the latest issue of Seventeen Magazine (September 2011). Although her colors were different, I still wanted to recreate this look. So the base color is Studio M's Neon Pink. To create the diagonal lines, i used (in order), Avon's Vintage Blue, Claire's Black, Avon's Pink Power, Sally Hansen's Mint Sorbet, and Avon's Tropical Punch. Top Coat: L.A. Colors Base/Top Coat. 

P.S. My Grandma's don't have any rugs like this :p

I have a new look I've been wearing for the past three days, and I should have it posted tomorrow. Animal Planet

Hola! I've been doing a lot of animal prints, lately. And I wanted to do it a bit different this time. So, I did zebra and leopard print, with rainbow. To create the rainbow, I used Wet-N-Wild's Blazed, Wet-N-Wild's Sunny Side Up, Sinful Color's Me First, Avon's Electric Green, Avon's Vintage Blue, and Avon's Vinage Purple. And to make the zebra and leopard, I used Claire's Brand of black. Top coat: L.A. Colors Base/Top Coat.

Headed To The Zoo

Hiya! I was inspired by IHaveACupcake on YouTube to do this look. Although she had a french tip acrylic for this look, I made it work for me. So, to start with the thumb, I used Avon's French Tip White for the base, and Claire's Brand of black. The index finger is polished with Avon's: Mirror Shine Peach Ice for the base, and Avon's Nude Gold for the giraffe print. I used the same products for my middle finger that I did on my thumb to create the cow print. For my ring finger, I used Avon's Nude Gold for the base, Avon's: Mirror Shine Peach Ice  for the center of the leopard, and Claire's Brand of black. And my pinky is coated with Wet-N-Wild's Sunny Side Up and Claire's Brand of black for the tiger print. Top coat: L.A. Colors Base/Top Coat.

As I've said before in previous posts, I spend some of my free time YouTubing different nail designs. And I've recently been watching tutorials by cutepolish. So, I took 2 different designs from her, and made them 1 for my look. For the base, I used Avon's Pink Power (for brest cancer). And to make the flowers, I used Avon's MATTE Red Velvet and my E-Z Marbelizer #2. I put 5 dots, and used a toothpick to join the dots together in the middle. I added 1 dot of Pink Power in the center. And to create the hearts, I also used Avon's MATTE Red Velvet and my E-Z Marbelizer #2. All I did was get a decent amount of polish on the dotter (marbelizer), and make the shape of a heart. Then I used a pink shimmery clear I made as my top coat. Sounds easier said than done, but PRACTICE. MAKES. PERFECT.

Today's News

Hey guys! Here's a tutorial by cutepolish on YouTube on how to create newspaper nails. This is the look I went for for the past 2 days. And within these 2 days, the polish has already started chipping due to the alcohol used to create the look, so no picture of my nails today. But I hope you guys enjoy the video, and try out the look for yourself. (:

Dippin' Dots

I think this look is great for the summer time. I makes me think of Dippin' Dots Ice Cream (: Yummy! For the pink, I used Pure Ice's Peony. For the white, I used Avon's French Tip White. And for the blue, I used Sinful Colors' Why Not. I created the dots by just leaving a little polish on the end of the brush, and dabbed it onto the nail.

Why Not Love Peony?

Once again, this was a temporary look because it was late, and I had somewhere to go the next day. The pinky, thumb, and index finger are sporting Sinful Color's Why Not. My middle finger is sporting Pure Ice's Peony. My ring finger is sporting Pure Ice's Love and Peony to create the diagonal lines. Top coat: NYC's Brand of transparent, shimmery color.

The Skys' Not Falling

For this look, I used Avon's Vintage Blue (I mixed it with Sinful Color's Why Not). The grey color was a mix of mine, using a greenish color, and I think a pink and blue color. I used the Claire's Brnad of black to make the triangular shapes, and highlighted them with the Vintage Blue mix. Top coat: Wet-N-Wild.

On The Prowl

The base colors are Sinful Color's Me First, Sinful Color's Orange Alert, and Studio M's Neon Pink. Claire's Brand of black was used to create the zebra and leopard. The leopard dots are Sinful Color's Orange Alert. Top coat: Wet-N-Wild.

Attack Of The Animals

I longed for the day that I would find a design that included my neon colors. Yay! My pinky and thumb base in Sinful Color's Orange Alert. My thumb is zebra, and my pinky is giraffe, created with Profussion/Claire's Brand black polish, My ring finger is Sinful Color's Me First and Orange Alert leopard. My middle finger is Claire's Brand neon green with zebra. My index finger is Studio M's Neon Pink with black giraffe. Top coat: Wet-N-Wild.

Olive You!

I didn't have time to do something fancy that day, but I still used my new Olive color. It's Avon's Olive Green and Avon's Coral Bikini. Top coat: Wet-N-Wild.

Slipping Through The Cracks

I needed to create a new look for my toes, so I did something cute, but basic. I used Studio M's Neon Pink for the base, and Sally Hansen's Vintage Purple Crackle. The top coat is by Wet-N-Wild.

Cotton Candy with Sparkles

This is my favorite look to this very day. I used Avon's Cotton Candy to create the tips and base for my index finger. Profussion/Claire's Brand of black was used for the smile line and lines/dots. For the shimmery highlight, I used Avon's Rave, and a nail art brush. And the infamous Wet-N-Wild top coat was used last.

Crack The Rainbow, Taste The Rainbow

That week, I was really into the rainbow look. And I finally got some crackle nail polish (thanks, Nana). If you remember in "Paint The Rainbow, Taste The Rainbow", I was telling you about how this woman made this design, just with black crackle. To create the rainbows, I used Studio M's Neon Pink, NYC's orange, Sinful Color's Neon Melon, Avon's Electric Green, Sinful Color's Love, and Avon's Vintage Violet. The crackle I used was Sally Hansen's Vintage Purple. Topped with Wet-N-Wild's top coat.

Blue My Mind

My neighbor came over one day, and I offered to do her nails. I applied acrylic and went to work. I used Sinful Color's Love for her tips. Then I used this metal grey color in this Avon [tube] that came with a clear on the other end of it. The clear changed the color of the grey, so you could do designs with one color. Next, I used Profussion/Claire's Brand of black for the lines and dots. Wet-N-Wild's top coat is what I used to finish the look.

Rock Star

If you haven't noticed yet, I freakin' love neon nail polish. I used Sinful Color's Neon Melon and Studio M's Neon Pink for the bases. Next came Profussion/Claire's Brand of black nail polish for the dots created with my Claire's Nail Brush. I have this glitter polish from Profussion, and it has stars in it, so I managed to get one, and put in on one of the black dots on my middle finger. This was topped off with Wet-N-Wild's top coat.

Paint The Rainbow, Taste The Rainbow

I was on youtube the night before I created this look. I wa just looking up creative nail desings, and I saw a rainbow crackle look. The woman used nail polishes the colors of the rainbow, and made rainbows over her nails in different directions, and topped it off with black crackle. I wanted to create the look, but at the time, I had no crackle polish to call my own. So, I used what I had, and created something a tad different. I used Studio M's Neon Pink on the pinky and the rainbow, NYC Brand or orange nail polish for the rainbow, Sinful Color's Neon Melon for the middle finger and rainbow, Avon's Electric Green on the index finger and rainbow, Sinful Color's Love on my thumb and rainbow, and Avon's Vintage Violet for the rainbow. I used Profussion/Claire's Brand of black for a floral design on the ring finger, and used Avon's French Tip White to add dots around the black floral. I also used NYC's Brand of this transparent shimmer color, and Wet-N-Wild's top coat.

Pretty Pink Flower Girl

Because the typical look for tips is white, I wanted to be bold and do a neon color. I used Studio M's Neon Pink for the tips. I wasn't to sure on what design I was going to do, so I did a flower. Suprisingly it came out really good for my first flower. For that, I used Avon's French Tip White and NYC's Brand of orange for the center of the flower (the bottle had no polish name). And the black dots were created with my E-Z Marbelizer #2 and Profussion/Claire's Brand black. Finshed with Wet-N-Wild top coat.

Animals Are A Girls' Bestfriend

My older sister loves zebra print. And she liked my "Entering The Jungle" look. So, she asked me to do the look on her toes. So for this look, I used Studio M's Neon Pink for the base on her big toe, middle toe, pinky toe, and leopard. Avon's French Tip White was the base for her second and fourth toes. To create the zebra and finish the leopard, I used Profussion and Claire's Brand of black. And I finished the look off with Wet-N-Wild top coat.

Entering The Jungle

For this design, I was rocking the acrylic that week. I was tired of the basic french tip look, so I amped it up a bit. I used Avon's French Tip White for, well, the french tip. Next, I used Studio M's Neon Pink for the leopard and pink dots. I then used Sinful Colors' Neon Melon for the dots. And for the black, I used Profussion and Claire's Brand. Top Coat was Wet-N-Wild.
